    New for 2022: More ways to win...and a one-stop nomination process.

    We've combined the best parts of District IV awards with the Circle of Excellence Awards.

    When you enter the 2022 Circle of Excellence Awards, your entries also will be considered for Best of District IV recognition—at no extra cost. We've also updated all of the categories and judging criteria, and added several categories that will be judged based on staff size.

    Individual Achievement Awards

    CASE District IV members work hard throughout the year promoting the areas of alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas. District IV bestows a number of special awards each year at the district’s annual meeting for individuals and institutions who continually raise the bar in their efforts to promote education.

    Dr. E. Joseph Savoie Chief Executive Leadership Award

    The Chief Executive Leadership Award recognizes a District IV member institution president, headmaster, chancellor, educational system head, or their institutional CEO for outstanding efforts to promote understanding and support of education. 

    Rising Star Award

    The Rising Star Award recognizes the accomplishments of new advancement professionals (2-5 years) whose early success promises future leadership and achievement.

    Distinguished Achievement Award

    The Distinguished Achievement Award recognizes individuals making a significant commitment to the advancement profession, both by service to their institution and volunteer service to CASE and CASE District IV.

    Milestone Service Awards

    Milestone Service Awards recognize District IV professionals who have enhanced educational services and opportunities through their commitment of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, or 45 years to the field of institutional advancement.

    Hall of Fame Award

    The Hall of Fame award recognizes retired professionals who have pro­vided outstanding service to their institutions, to CASE District IV, to the advance­ment profession, and to higher education.

    John T. Shamblin Jr. Top Hand Award

    A special award made as appropriate by the District to individuals who are not in the educational advancement profession, but who have given extraordinary service to the profession and to District IV

    Scholarships

    CASE will offer up to 19 scholarships for qualified members to attend the CASE District IV Annual Conference: March 13-15, 2022, in Dallas. 

    In addition to receiving complimentary conference registration, each scholarship recipient will receive $250 to offset travel and lodging expenses.  

    All CASE members are welcome to apply. Preference for scholarships will be given to people who meet any of these criteria: 

    • Never attended a CASE conference. 
    • From an under-represented population. 
    • New to educational advancement. 
    • New to a leadership role. 
    • Student who is planning a career in educational advancement. 

    Application Instructions

    The applicant must be on staff at a CASE member institution, educational affiliate, or educational partner.

    All application materials are submitted online. Applicants will be asked to answer these questions:

    • Approximately how many full-time employees do you have working in educational advancement at your institution?
    • How long have you been in your current position?
    • How long have you worked in educational advancement?
    • Describe your advancement office (size, scope of work), and your role within the office. (500 word limit)
    • How did you come to work in educational advancement? (500 word limit)
    • Why do you do the work you do? (500 word limit)?
    • What do you think distinguishes you from others who may apply for this scholarship? (500 word limit) 
    • What professional or institutional needs would you hope to meet by attending a CASE conference? (500 word limit)
