    The Library is a hub for resources about the advancement field. Our staff of professional librarians is highly knowledgeable about CASE products and services, as well as other print and online resources for advancement professionals.

    The Library provides:

    • Advancement Resource Catalog, a database of 15,000+ item records specific to advancement and education
    • Subject Guides, resource collections for common advancement questions containing links to CASE publications, survey results, books and other materials providing a comprehensive reading list on each topic
    • CASE Files that contain information on topics the Library tracks, such as largest gifts to education
    • Samples, including alumni surveys, gift agreements, gift officer metrics, social media policies, strategic plans and more
    • Ask the Library, personalized responses to information requests from our members globally on advancement topics such as fundraising, alumni relations and communications and marketing

    Access to the Library resources and services is a benefit of CASE membership. If you are having trouble accessing the Library, verify your membership status by contacting Member Support.

    The CASE Library responds to information requests from our members globally on advancement topics such as fundraising, alumni relations and communications and marketing. We are based in Washington, D.C. and we work on Eastern Standard Time. Our typical response time is three business days.

    For assistance with login issues, conferences, Currents permission requests or other CASE questions, you can Submit a Question to the Member Support Center.

    The Library serves as the archives of CASE and its predecessor organizations. Some of the collections are in Washington but most of the historical materials live in the Philanthropic Studies Archives at the IUPUI University Library.

    Ask the Library if you have questions about CASE history.

    The Library does not lend out copies of books or periodicals. When possible, the Advancement Resource Catalog does include full text links to articles.

    We recommend reaching out to your own institution’s library or local public library for assistance. Many  libraries have a service called Interlibrary Loan for borrowing books they do not own. Contact your library's front desk for assistance.

    Personalized library services are a benefit for CASE members and Platinum-level Educational Partners.

    We are available Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. We usually respond to questions within 3 business days. 

    The Advancement Resource Catalog (ARC) is the Library's curated database of 15,000+ item records, connecting you to education and advancement resources. Featuring articles, books and white papers, the ARC is available online 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

    Access to the catalog is open to all CASE members.

    The Library team curates Subject Guides and Sample Collections on many advancement topics.

    Visit the Resources section to browse all of the online materials CASE has to offer.

    We maintain a collection of online samples from admission guides to young alumni materials plus many more topics in between. The collection includes past Circle of Excellence Award Winners. 

    CASE policy does not allow us to provide specific recommendations on vendors or consultants.

    You can browse a listing of CASE’s Educational Partners or connect with your colleagues via the CASE Communities. The Communities are online message boards for CASE members and can be a great space for asking questions and sharing advice. Other CASE members might be able to recommend vendors that they've worked with directly.

    CASE conducts more than 20 surveys globally, including the Ross-CASE Survey and the Charitable Giving to Universities in Australia and New Zealand Survey. These surveys, along with the recently acquired Voluntary Support of Education (VSE) Survey, are key parts of AMAtlas.
