As we celebrate this important milestone in our history, we invite you, our members and volunteers, to celebrate with us.
Anniversaries provide a wonderful opportunity to recognize that we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. As we mark our 50th anniversary, we honor those who have contributed their time, enthusiasm and wisdom to past accomplishments and celebrate the many crucial ways in which our profession, echoing our vision statement, continues to ‘advance education to transform lives and society.’

At many of our in-person and online conferences this year, we will host special discussions in which we will seek to gain your insights on the future direction of our profession. These conversations will then inform a collection of insights about our profession and all its disciplines.

CASE at 50: A Narrative History
The first issue of Currents was published in September 1975 under the then editor, Virginia Carter Smith. The magazine shines a light on institutions and individuals who are pushing the field of advancement forward.
