Scholarships
CASE offers several scholarships to help advancement professionals take advantage of training opportunities:
Virginia Carter Smith Scholarship
Through the Virginia Carter Smith Scholarship program, CASE grants scholarships to cover registration fees at selected CASE conferences. This program is for CASE members who have three or fewer years of advancement experience.
Peter Buchanan Scholarship
Through the Peter Buchanan Scholarship Program, CASE ASAP awards scholarships each year to its annual network convention. Scholarships are awarded based on the potential impact the convention will have on the student as an advancement leader.
Michael Kiser Scholarship
Through the Michael Kiser Scholarship, CASE provides the opportunity for a promising new professional to attend the Newcomers Online Institute in Communications and Marketing, a flagship training program for newcomers to the communications and marketing field.
District Scholarships
North America is divided into eight regional districts. Many districts have conference scholarship programs. Visit your district Web page for more information.
CASE Europe Scholarships
We offer a range of scholarships for CASE Europe training and events. We encourage senior leaders to utilise these scholarships so that they can benefit from the training and further embed fundraising at a deeper level within their institutions. These scholarships are aimed specifically at senior academics such as pro vice-chancellors, deans and heads of departments. Contact europe@case.org for details.
CASE Asia-Pacific Scholarships
CASE Asia-Pacific, with the support of educational partners and foundations, funds a variety of scholarships for advancement staff to participate in its professional development programs. The scholarships for both CASE members and non-members support the accessibility of training to grow professionalism within the industry and help to defray part of the registration fee for our conferences and institutions. The number of scholarships for each program is limited, so do apply early during the registration period. Contact asia-pacific@case.org for details.
The Robert Henry Scholarship in support of the CASE Minority Institute
The Robert Henry MAI Scholarship Fund will provide two scholarships to be awarded annually. It is intended to support participants attending the Minority Advancement Institute. Such support will include awards to a minority advancement professional from a CASE member institution who meets the established criteria and a minority member of the CASE staff who has served CASE for a minimum of six years.
The funds will be used to defray the cost of registration to the MAI or the cost of travel to the MAI, if appropriate and applicable.
