Entries should be a single video under 10 minutes long created to celebrate a holiday/holidays, or share a year-end message. Videos may have an internal or external audience. The video may include a “soft” ask, such as a URL for giving, but do not enter videos whose primary purpose is fundraising. Videos may have been produced for a special event, as well as for the web or online distribution, but not as paid advertisements/commercials.
Happy new year message
Seasonal holidays, such as Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.
Regional holidays, such as Canada Day, Thanksgiving, Labour Day, Bank Holidays, Chinese New Year, etc.
Do not enter:
Paid commercials/advertisements. Enter those in Videos: Commercials.
Donor thank you videos. Enter those in Videos: Fundraising and Stewardship (Long) or (Short).
Judges will score nominations from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) in these five areas:
Goals and objectives
Impact and results
Overall concept and creativity
Use of resources (budget, people, and time) and return on investment
Judges also may consider:
Ability to serve as a model for other institutions
Understanding of target audience(s)
Quality and clarity of nomination and supporting materials
Special circumstances/overcoming adversity
Fundraising: Donor Relations & Stewardship Initiatives
Publications: Fundraising Annual Reports & Fund Reports
