Come and join us for APAC 2023 in Melbourne, Australia!

This conference is for you if your business provides services to the higher education, schools, nonprofit, or arts and culture sectors. Our delegates working across advancement, fundraising, alumni relations, marketing, communications, leadership, and related disciplines, attend APAC to hear about and discuss trending topics, learn from one another, exchange ideas, and meet like-minded professionals, market leaders, and industry experts. It is the perfect opportunity to engage with the advancement sector.

APAC 2023 hosts five key programmes:

  1. Main Conference Programme (17-18 May)

As Global Exchange is the theme for APAC 2023, the main conference programme has been tailored to serve the diverse needs of advancement professionals from across the Asia-Pacific and the wider world who wish to gain a deeper understanding of advancement practices in the region and beyond. The main conference features concurrent tracks in Alumni and Community Relations, Fundraising/ Development, Communications and Marketing, Advancement Services, and Leadership – with over 70 sessions with a host of networking opportunities for delegates and sponsors.
  2. The Leadership Forum (16 May)

    Separate registration required.

One of the conference's highlights is a half-day executive leadership programme developed for institutional and advancement leaders to discuss strategic issues and leadership challenges. This forum is designed for Chief Advancement Officers, Directors, and Heads of Higher Education Institutions and Schools, including Principals, Deans, Presidents, and Vice-Chancellors.
  3. The Road Map to Advancement (16 May)

This programme is essential for those new to the profession or early career professionals. This session will equip delegates with a solid knowledge base on advancement and associated portfolios of fundraising, alumni and community relations, marketing and communications, advancement services, and admissions.
  4. Advancement Services - Data Management (16 May)

With an increased focus in recent years across the global Advancement sector on benchmarking, data visualisation and data-driven decision-making, high-quality data has never been more critical. Even so, the fundamentals of effective data management are often not in place. This session will explore the goals and principles of data management and deeply dive into two key functions which are cornerstones of Advancement success - data governance and data quality.
  5. Schools Conference Programme (15-16 May)

    Separate registration required.

This programme offers dynamic opportunities for practitioners from independent and international schools to meet experts and peers through sessions and networking; to delve deeper into common challenges within fundraising and development, alumni and community relations, marketing, communications, and leadership.

Who Attends?

The delegates that typically attend APAC include educational advancement professionals from AsiaPacific and beyond, from higher education institutions, independent and international schools - newcomers through to senior-level professionals working in fundraising, alumni and community relations, marketing, communications, advancement services, and leadership positions.

It is also worth noting that APAC attracts advancement professionals beyond the Asia- Pacific region interested in learning more from an Asia-Pacific perspective and non-profit organisations looking to improve their advancement efforts.

For APAC 2019, we hosted 153 delegates for the schools' conference, including the heads of schools' forum, and 483 delegates for the main conference.
