The CASE Graduate Trainee Programme is an extensive training programme which aims to develop high calibre talent in the advancement profession across higher education, schools, and not-for-profit sectors.

The training programme has been designed for graduates and postgraduates seeking a career in fundraising and philanthropy, to develop and refine their skillset while experiencing interactive workshops, professional mentoring, and invaluable networking.

The programme is currently available within the UK/Europe, US/Canada, and Asia-Pacific regions.

    Background

In 2009, CASE Europe developed this programme with support from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to complement the UK Government's Matched Funding Scheme for Higher Education. The higher education fundraising profession needed to attract high calibre graduates and postgraduates to further develop fundraising and philanthropic giving with UK higher education.

    Purpose

CASE is committed to growing the diversity of the advancement profession. We aspire to support and encourage organisations to connect with their diverse constituencies and create pathways for current and future employees of diverse backgrounds while remaining inclusive of people of different ethnicities, nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, and ability levels.

CASE also thrives to identify and train talented individuals in the fundamental skills, knowledge and aptitude needed to succeed in the development profession and to make an impact on a university's philanthropic giving, hoping to bring changes and transform lives.
