    From the Nominator

Fall of 2018 unveiled the final phase of an ongoing public art project at the Glenside Train Station. The project spanned for more than three years, from planning to implementation, and partnered Arcadia University’s students, faculty, and staff with Cheltenham Township, the Downtown Glenside Business Partnership, and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).

    From the Judges

This project was truly a collaborative effort that spoke to the university’s history of bringing art into the public domain. The project required not only an artistic/creative component, but a business/entrepreneurial effort on behalf of the students—a lesson for the students that also impacted the community. The combination of owned and earned media brought life to the project. Bits and Pieces is more than a mural, and this was clear throughout the entry materials.
