
CASE Universities Marketing Forum
The CASE Universities Marketing Forum (CASE UMF) is a community of UK higher education directors of marketing and communications, convened by CASE Europe and led by a Volunteer Executive Committee.
The UMF currently meets two or three times a year in person, with online meetings held in-between.

Eligibility
- The UMF is open to leaders, or a nominated deputy, of marketing, communications, and student recruitment teams in non-profit UK higher education institutions which are, or could be, CASE members, according to criteria in the CASE Bylaws.
- Free access to in-person meetings is a benefit for CASE member institutions, with a typical limit of two representatives per institution (or one where capacity is restricted).
- Leaders of marketing, communications, and student recruitment teams in non-CASE member institutions are very welcome to be part of the UMF, but will need to pay a £75pp fee for each in-person meeting. Check if your institution is a CASE member.
- Companies and for-profit institutions wishing to participate in the UMF may do so through sponsorship. A new call for sponsors will be launched in autumn 2026, and details will be available on this page.

Mission Statement
The CASE Universities Marketing Forum (UMF) is a community championing senior professionals working in marketing, communications and student recruitment at Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Our goal is to empower senior leaders in these functions, enhancing their standing and influence, so they can shape the strategic development of their institutions and collaboratively contribute to the broader higher education sector.
CASE UMF is co-ordinated by a Volunteer Executive Committee supported by CASE.
The Forum will seek to:
- Foster Best Practices: Establish effective mechanisms to facilitate the sharing of best practices across our membership body/network, building our community of professionals and encouraging information sharing, collaboration and mutual learning. Ensuring that we utilise outside of sector expertise to help us deliver the best tools for our membership.
- Drive Research and Insights: Develop coordinated and syndicated research and insights to empower marketing leaders within Higher Education Institutions, ensuring they have access to valuable data for informed decision-making.
- Promote Professional Development: Equip members with the professional resilience, insights and networks needed to navigate the dynamic landscape of Higher Education and drive strategic change in their institution. We will guide and promote CASE’s programmes for marketing, communications and student recruitment professionals, and support the continuous development of professional knowledge and skills within the community.
- Influence UK HE Policy & Build Mutually Beneficial Partnerships: Play a pivotal role in shaping UK Higher Education policy by actively engaging with key stakeholders, working in partnership with organisations that can provide key insights and extend our impact. We will develop informed policy advice, lobby for support, and provide guidance on the challenges faced in UK HE marketing, communications and student recruitment.
By pursuing these aims, the CASE UMF strives to be a catalyst for positive change for the sector and play a key role in shaping the landscape of Higher Education marketing, communications and student recruitment.
