Joel Terwilliger is currently the alumni relations manager at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Terwilliger is an experienced international alumni relations and engagement professional, with over a decade of experience working with universities, government officials, civil society, and other stakeholders around the world. Prior to moving to New Zealand, he has held alumni, donor, and stakeholder engagement appointments in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America and has travelled extensively in Asia and Europe for study and work. Passionate about sustainability impact programmes and research, Terwilliger holds a master’s degree in non-profit and social enterprise management from UTS Business School. His areas of expertise include marketing and communications, volunteer engagement and management, and constituent engagement programmes.
