Emily Henderson has been part of the UK Major Gifts team at Birmingham for over five years. She works with individuals to encourage them to: open their networks, volunteer their time, and of course most crucially, to give five and six figure gifts of money to support students and research. Previously she worked for a number of charities holding roles within community fundraising teams. She fell into fundraising by accident, but loves it! 

Emily works closely with the College of Medical and Dental Sciences, and most recently secured a gift of £500,000 towards brain tumour research. 

Emily recently travelled to Jersey to explore new opportunities and untapped prospects, and hopes to return later in the year for follow-up.

Emily is looking forward to meeting delegates at the workshop, and hearing others share their ideas and approaches.
