Bio

David Jeu was appointed as UC Berkeley’s assistant vice chancellor, international relations in August 2010. He leads a team that advances the reputation of UC Berkeley as one of the world’s preeminent public research universities by generating financial support for academic and institutional priorities from international constituencies.  

He advises executive leadership and faculty on matters related to global partnerships, serves on the Advisory Board of the Global Engagement Office and supports the chancellor’s advancement related international travel.

Prior to joining Berkeley, he was director of global development at the University of Alberta, Canada.  His nonprofit management career spans over 30 years in the higher education, health care, and social services sectors. 

Jeu graduated from the University of Toronto in 1983 with an honors bachelor's degree in urban studies.
