Describe your role at Middlesex Community College:

I serve in a multi-faceted role in the College Advancement Office for Middlesex Community College (MCC).  My responsibilities encompass the management of the MCC Foundation Middlesex Fund, the direction of the MCC Foundation Scholarship Program, and the administration of the MCC Alumni Association.

What is most rewarding about your work?

One of my responsibilities is to manage the MCC Foundation Scholarship program and to work with donors who are establishing scholarship awards.  Many of our students are first-generation college students, who must overcome financial obstacles in order to complete their degrees.  Often a scholarship recipient will share that they would not have been able to graduate had they not received a Foundation scholarship.  Hearing these testimonials makes me proud to play a small part in connecting our students with the support they need to fulfill their academic dreams.

I am also passionate about the work of the MCC Alumni Association.  I work to help connect alums with the college, one another, and the community.  It is inspiring to hear the stories of our alumni and how they describe their experience at MCC as life-changing. It is rewarding to be able to facilitate programs and opportunities for MCC alums to connect and to come back on campus.

What have you done with CASE District I?

Currently, I serve as a Programs Co-Chair for the 2020 District I Conference.  I have also served on previous conference committees as a programs track chair.  In October of 2019, I was fortunate to be able to assist with programming for the New England Community College Mini-Conference at Mt. Wachusett Community College.
