    What does CASE award?

    Each year, CASE recognizes best practices in advancement and outstanding people who contribute to the growth and understanding of the advancement profession. Learn more about each of the CASE awards and how to enter by selecting one of the awards below.

    CASE District Awards

    CASE's US/Canada Districts offer awards programs to recognize and celebrate outstanding programs and individuals. District awards honor everything from annual reports to websites, distinguished service to new professionals, and everything in between. To learn more about your district awards program, contact the appropriate district awards chair.

     

    CASE District Scholarships

    CASE US/Canada Districts grant scholarships each year to cover registration fees to attend the annual district conferences. Scholarships generally are awarded to new advancement talent at CASE member institutions with preference going to professionals from under-represented populations and those who work in offices with demonstrably limited resources. 

    The Robert Henry Scholarship

    The Robert Henry MAI Scholarship Fund will provide two scholarships to be awarded annually.  It is intended to support participants attending the Minority Advancement Institute. 

    CRD Legacy Scholarship

    The Council for Resource Development (CRD) Legacy Scholarship supports community college advancement professionals by providing financial support to attend the CASE Conference for Community College Advancement and the CASE Conference for Community College Grants Professionals. 

    Crystal Apple Award for Teaching Excellence

    CASE awards the Crystal Apple Award for Teaching Excellence to faculty members for their outstanding performance at 10 or more CASE international educational programs.

    CASE District Opportunity & Inclusion Scholarship

    CASE grants scholarships each year to cover registration fees at selected CASE conferences for individuals at CASE member institutions who demonstrate considerable promise and potential as an educational advancement professional. 

    Circle of Excellence Awards

    The Circle of Excellence Awards showcase outstanding work in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing at colleges, universities, independent schools and affiliated nonprofits.

    Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year Award

    The Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year award is the highest award for excellence in the field, with a yearly winner chosen from among the Gold and Grand Gold Circle of Excellence Award recipients in the Magazines category. 

    Educational Fundraising Awards

    The Educational Fundraising Awards recognize exemplary fundraising performance based on data submitted to the CASE Voluntary Support of Education survey.

    John Grenzebach Research Awards

    For 30 years, the John Grenzebach Research Awards, made possible by the generous support of Grenzebach Glier & Associates, have recognized outstanding research in philanthropy for educational advancement.

    Distinguished Service Awards

    CASE recognizes individuals and organizations who have provided extraordinary service to education and the advancement profession through its Distinguished Service Awards.

    The Chief Executive Leadership Awards

    The Chief Executive Leadership Award recognizes CASE member institutional heads, presidents, chancellors, system heads or other campus chief executive officers for outstanding efforts in promoting and supporting education and institutional advancement.

    Independent School Awards

    The Independent Schools Awards are an excellent opportunity to recognize individuals, corporations or foundations for making a huge difference to education and your school as volunteers and contributors. CASE invites you to nominate them for one of these prestigious awards.

    CASE Commonfund College and University Foundation Award

    The CASE Commonfund College and University Foundation Awards recognize individuals who have made valuable contributions through best practices, distinguished service and/or volunteer leadership to the foundation field. The awards are presented each year at the annual CASE Conference for College and University Foundations.

    Service Awards in State Government Relations

    The State Relations Awards honor individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement, quality and effectiveness of state relations on behalf of a higher education institution or state system. 

    CASE Asia-Pacific Awards

    The Leadership Award recognises CASE member institutional heads, presidents, chancellors, system heads or other campus chief executive officers for outstanding efforts in promoting and supporting education and institutional advancement. 

    The CASE Asia-Pacific Distinguished Service Award recognises inspirational advancement professionals whose accomplishments have made a significant and lasting impact on institutional advancement and whose life and character have earned the respect and admiration of fellow colleagues.

    CASE Europe Awards

    From senior leaders through to rising stars, the CASE Europe Awards are our way of celebrating professional excellence and the inspirational individuals making a difference throughout Europe's education community.

    CASE Platinum Awards

    The CASE Platinum Awards ended in 2021. Platinum Award categories are now included in the annual CASE Circle of Excellence Awards.

    Virginia Carter Smith Scholarship

    CASE grants scholarships each year to cover registration fees at selected CASE conferences for individuals at CASE member institutions who demonstrate considerable promise and potential as an educational advancement professional. 

    Michael Kiser Scholarship

    The Michael Kiser Scholarship provides the opportunity for a promising new professional to attend the Summer Institute for Communications and Marketing, CASE's flagship training program for newcomers to the communications and marketing field.
