Ricky Cheng
Ricky Cheng, executive vice president of United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, has responsibilities for development but also gives special attention to the organisation’s strategic planning and future directions.
Prior to joining the United Board, Cheng was the founding director who established the Office of Institutional Advancement at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2003. His responsibility at CUHK covered all areas of advancement. He also has more than 20 years of professional and business experience in the private sector. Cheng is a keen volunteer of CASE and a CASE Laureate. He has chaired the CASE Asia-Pacific Advancement Conference twice and has spoken at many conferences.

Willie Heung
Willie Heung brings over a decade of experience in advancement and development. He previously served as Head of Advancement at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong and as Development Director at Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong, where he oversaw fundraising, alumni engagement, and communications initiatives.
A graduate of St. Paul’s Co-Educational College in Hong Kong, Willie earned a BBA in Marketing from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, followed by several years in regional advertising before completing his MBA at Warwick Business School in the U.K. His MBA experience opened the door to a regional business development career, which ultimately led him to his true calling in educational advancement.
Willie is a passionate advancement professional, dedicated to fostering a culture of engagement and philanthropy that strengthens the growth and impact of educational institutions.
Cheryl Lee
Cheryl Lee is currently the Director of Communications at Chinese International School (CIS) in Hong Kong. She has over 15 years of corporate experience at IBM, EF and HSBC, taking on progressive sales and marketing roles supporting global and local markets from Toronto, Shanghai and now Hong Kong. She is a relative newcomer to the education industry, having spent two years at Harrow Shanghai International School prior to joining CIS in 2023. Cheryl excels in partnering with and leading others to drive transformation. She also loves to uncover and write stories about the community that can be shared internally and beyond, which makes working in a school a perfect fit!

Heath Hignight
Heath joined Hong Kong International School as Chief Advancement Officer in September 2022. Prior to relocating to Hong Kong, Heath served at Colorado Rocky Mountain School as Director of Development between 2019-2022. Between 2015-19, he lived in Saudi Arabia at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), serving as the first Center Manager of the Ali I. Al-Naimi Petroleum Engineering Research Center. Starting in 2006, Heath managed fundraising and corporate relationship activities in the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
A 2006 graduate of Leadership Austin and a 2009 Austin Area Research Organization McBee Fellow, Heath served on multiple education and arts nonprofit boards in Austin, Texas. Heath has worked as a consultant and invited review panelist for the National Science Foundation and various Central Texas workforce councils, committees, and program teams. Heath graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts, English in 1995, and Master of Arts, English in 1998. Since 2015, Heath is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
Heath was born and raised in Oklahoma, and is married to Kimberly Draper, a designer of bespoke jewelry and furniture. Kimberly is a proud Baylor University graduate and a member of the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma.
Emma Lau
Emma joined Hong Kong International School as the Data and Research Coordinator in June 2024. She oversees daily operations and maintenance of the school’s Raiser’s Edge database, conducts prospect research, and produces due diligence reports to support the Chief Advancement Officer and the Director of Development.
Emma holds a master's degree in World History and Cultures from King’s College London, graduating with Merits. She also earned First Class Honours from the University of Hong Kong in History and French.
In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, crocheting, and hiking.

Jane Narich
Jane has been leading Advancement for the Chinese International School (CIS) since 2021. Previously based in California, Jane was Senior Vice President for Graham Pelton Consulting, a leading global philanthropic consulting company, heading up the business development and consulting team on the West Coast.
Jane equally provided strategic counsel to international schools in Paris and Barcelona, where she was Director of Development. Prior to that, Jane had experience working across different sectors, leading charitable organisations in Paraguay and Nicaragua as well as working with the Symphony Orchestra in Chicago.
Fluent in Spanish and French, Jane has given talks on fundraising in various institutions in the U.S., France, Spain, and Latin America. She has served on the ECIS Development committee as well as the CASE Planning Committee and has spoken at numerous conferences in the U.S. and around Europe. Jane serves on multiple boards including the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals based in San Francisco.
Jane holds an MBA from the University of Wales.

Simon Phillips
Simon began his advancement career in the UK at several national charities and University College London. After relocating to Hong Kong in 2013, he has led major gift fundraising programs at the German Swiss International School and the University of Manchester. He is a committed relationship builder and cross-cultural fundraiser, with over a decade of experience in Asian philanthropy.
As the Director of Development at HKIS, Simon plays a pivotal role in advancing the school's mission and vision. Working in close collaboration with the Chief Advancement Officer, he leads and oversees activities related to the engagement of major gift donors with the school.
Simon holds a BA in International History and Politics and an MA with Distinction in Conflict, Development and Security from the University of Leeds.

Antonia Yeung
Antonia Yeung is an engagement professional certified in environmental, social and governance planning, behavioural analysis, NLP, career coaching, and mediation, and a trainer for programmes in personal growth and team collaboration.
With over 20 years of experience in higher education and non-profit sector, Antonia is passionate about driving student growth, institutional advancement, and stakeholder engagement. She was Director of Alumni Relations at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong. Her current role promotes user experience through campus development and service design, with a specific focus on environmental and operational sustainability.
Antonia is a CASE Laureate and has served CASE in various roles including Chair of the inaugural APAC Alumni Relations Institute (2011), Commissioner for Alumni Relations (2011-14), Co-Chair of the alumni relations track at CASE Asia-Pacific Advancement Conference (2018) and Co-Chair of the CASE Asia-Pacific Advancement Conference 2023. She is currently a member of the CASE Council for Asia-Pacific.
