Ana Suarez
With over a decade of dedicated service to the American School of Madrid, Ana possesses deep institutional knowledge, having previously led the Development and Community Relations department. This extensive background provides a robust foundation for educational advancement, encompassing expert knowledge in areas such as fundraising, donor cultivation, event organization, communications, and marketing.
Since 2021, Ana has focused her expertise on strategically developing the Alumni Program. In her current role as Alumni Coordinator, she is responsible for managing strategic fundraising, organizing impactful events, and fostering alumni engagement to strengthen the ties among former students, parents, and faculty.
Michelle Collin
An Australian who was raised on the international circuit, Michelle joined the American School of Barcelona in 2020 as Director of Development and Alumni Relations after many years of working in China at two other international schools. Her experience encompasses alumni relations, community engagement, and strategic fundraising within the international non-profit school sector. She enjoys the complexity of her role and always strives to deliver the best experiences for the school's international and diverse community.
Michelle was a member of the planning committee for the inaugural CASE International Schools European Forum 2023 in Geneva and again in 2024, when the Forum was hosted at the American School of Barcelona.
Hilary Polomsky
Born and raised in London, Hilary has been embracing European life in Frankfurt, Germany, for the last 25 years.
Passionate about international education, Hilary joined the FIS Advancement Team in 2018, first as the Community Engagement Manager, followed by the role of Development and Alumni Relations Manager. She has focused on building robust engagement programs through the celebration of connections, stories, and achievements within the parent and alumni community. This has complemented her work in the field of strategic fundraising and philanthropic awareness for the Development program at her school.
