On Sept. 18, 2025, Virginia Commonwealth University publicly launched its most ambitious philanthropic campaign to date—Unlocking Potential: VCU’s Campaign for the Future, a $1.838 billion effort to shape the university’s future. Guided by priorities that reflect VCU’s deepest commitments—to students, faculty, patients, and community—the campaign called for an equally bold launch. It came to life through a kickoff event that brought students, faculty, alumni, donors, and community members together. Every element was designed to match the scale of the moment. In the end, VCU Development and Alumni Relations delivered a launch that reflected the university’s ambition, amplified its voice, and brought its campaign pillars powerfully to life.
