For too long, young people living in Colombia’s gang-violence-plagued rural communities had few options for a bright future. Universidad de La Salle is changing that narrative with an agricultural engineering program called Utopia. The program, fueled by philanthropy, is transforming rural communities through education and peace-building. Fifteen years into the program, hundreds of young people have received scholarships leading to degrees that change their lives.
