    2021 Institutional Awards

    Congratulations to the winners of 2021 CASE District III Institutional Awards. They represent the very best in advancement across the Southeast. 

    Winners were announced during the live Awards Presentation on Thursday, Jan. 28. If you missed it, view the presentation recording.

    2021 Platinum Awards

    We are pleased to recognize these District III Platinum Award Finalists. These Finalists will now be evaluated by a global judging panel alongside Finalists from the other CASE Districts and Regions to determine the one Platinum Award winner in each category. The Platinum Award winners will be announced in June 2021.

    Best Practices in Communications and Marketing: "'Invest in Me' Campaign," Virginia Commonwealth University
    Best Practices in Communications and Marketing: "'Anchor Down. Step Up.' Campaign," Vanderbilt University
    Best Practices in Digital Communications: "Pride Your Ride: Using Gamification and Lead Generation to Rebrand A Staple," University of Miami
    Best Practices in Fundraising: "UVA Memorial to Enslaved Laborers," University of Virginia
     

    In addition, the judges recognized the following entries with Honorable Mentions. Although Honorable Mention entries will not advance to the next round, it is indeed a distinct honor to be recognized.

    Unless otherwise noted, all materials submitted to the CASE District III Awards and CASE Platinum Awards should have been completed primarily between June 30, 2019 and August 20, 2020.

    Who can enter

    • Any CASE member institution in District III is welcome to submit entries to the competition.
    • Nominators must be employed at and on the CASE roster at a CASE member institution.
    • External vendors and third parties may not submit entries on behalf of institutions with which they have worked.

    Entry criteria

    • Unless otherwise noted, entries should be original work that was produced or completed between June 30, 2019 and Aug. 20, 2020. In the case of publications such as magazines, the date on the cover/masthead will be used to determine eligibility.
    • Although use of external vendors, consultants and freelancers is allowed, the work should primarily be that of staff at CASE member institutions. 

    Entry fees and payment

    • All fees must be paid online via credit card. CASE does not accept purchase orders or payment via check.
    • Entries that have not been paid by the close the nomination period will not be judged.
    • Once an entry has been submitted and paid, no refunds will be issued.

    Permissions

    By entering the awards program, the nominator and affiliated institution give CASE permission to:

    • Share relevant contact information with volunteer judges.
    • Use any of the materials submitted with the nomination for promotional purposes, including the CASE website, print and promotional publications, and electronic communications.

    Entry and category rules

    • Once an entry has been submitted and paid, it is considered final.
    • The same entry may be submitted to any categories for which it meets the criteria.
    • Institutions may submit more than one entry to the same category.
    • Entries and related materials become the property of CASE and will not be returned.
    • CASE and the judge coordinators reserve the right to disqualify entries that do not meet entry criteria.
    • CASE and the judge coordinators reserve the right to move an entry into a more appropriate category, without notice to the nominator.
