Bill Franklin Volunteer of the Year Award
The Bill Franklin Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a staff member of a CASE District III member institution who has made outstanding volunteer contributions to the work of CASE DIII. This award honors individuals whose service has advanced the district’s programs, strengthened engagement among members, and furthered the mission of CASE within District III.
Selection Criteria:
- Volunteer service with CASE and District III through leadership roles, committees, mentoring, judging, speaking, or other contributions.
- Demonstrated impact on advancing CASE DIII’s goals and programs.
- Examples of leadership and innovative contributions.
- Sustained commitment to volunteer service and leadership within the district.

Chief Executive Leadership Award
The Chief Executive Leadership Award celebrates CASE member institutional chief executive officers, college and university system heads, and trustees for outstanding efforts in promoting the value of education and supporting advancement at their campuses. Recipients, through their ability to create a vision and inspire others, have established a positive image for their institution while leading it to even higher levels of success.
Eligibility
CASE celebrates the leadership, innovation, and impact of professionals from different lived experiences. As in all its initiatives, CASE values inclusivity, and therefore, the Individual Achievement Awards actively seek the broadest possible set of nominations from institutions and individuals across the globe.
To be considered for this award, nominees must meet the following requirements:
- Institutional CEO, system head, or trustee (current or retired) for a CASE member institution.
- Institutionally Related Foundations or self-governed alumni association CEOs and trustees are not eligible for nomination.
- Current members of the CASE Board of Trustees and Regional Councils are not eligible for nomination.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.

Distinguished Service Award
The CASE Distinguished Service Award celebrates inspirational advancement professionals whose accomplishments and longtime service to CASE have made a significant impact on institutional advancement. The award acknowledges individuals whose embodiment of the spirit of CASE, particularly generosity in sharing knowledge with the community of practice, have earned the respect and admiration of fellow colleagues.

Rising Star Award
This award recognizes a professional with three to ten years of advancement experience whose accomplishments set them apart among their peers. It honors early-career professionals whose success reflects enthusiasm and commitment to the advancement profession, along with achievement, innovation, professionalism, and leadership qualities.
Selection Criteria:
- Three to ten years of professional experience in advancement.
- Record of early accomplishments and professional growth.
- Leadership potential and commitment to the profession.
- Active involvement with CASE, District III, and other professional development activities.

Professional of the Year Award
This award recognizes a District III institutional advancement professional with ten or more years of experience who has demonstrated exceptional achievement in the development of an institutional advancement program or the innovative execution of programs within an area of advancement.
Selection Criteria:
- Ten or more years of professional experience in advancement.
- Significant and lasting impact on institutional advancement programs.
- Leadership in building successful strategies, initiatives, or collaborations.
- Active contributions to CASE and the District III community.

Opportunity and Inclusion Award
This award recognizes advancement professionals who demonstrate leadership in fostering an inclusive environment and creating opportunities within the profession and on their campuses.

To be considered for this award, nominees must meet the following qualifications:
- From a CASE member institution or Educational Partner or retired from a CASE member institution.
- Meet the specific eligibility requirements outlined in the individual award descriptions (e.g., years of experience, role, or type of service).
- Made significant contributions to CASE through volunteer service.
- Current members of the CASE Regional Councils are not eligible for nomination.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
How to enter
All nomination information and materials should be submitted online by someone at a CASE member institution or Educational Partner. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
The nominator will be asked to submit:
- Responses to two prompts:
- Describe the length, type, and variety of service that the nominee has given to the advancement profession, and the resulting impact.
- Describe the nature and length of the nominee’s service to CASE and the resulting impact on education and/or advancement. If possible, include examples that show how the nominee has displayed generosity in sharing knowledge with the community of practice and has earned the respect and admiration of fellow colleagues. Nominators are also encouraged to highlight examples that align with the specific award’s selection criteria.
- Nominee's resume, CV, biography, or a link to similar information, such as their LinkedIn profile.
- One supporting letter (not from the nominator) endorsing the nomination.
