Andrea Crowley
Andrea joined Warwick in 2002, bringing her experience in the charity sector and internet solutions to Higher Education. With a background in both fundraising and operations roles, Andrea started raising major gifts towards medical research, before taking on responsibility for Development Operations. Her remit was then extended to include Alumni & Supporter Engagement. Andrea is an expert on alumni and fundraising systems, and has reshaped the Development Services function at Warwick to enable an insight-driven approach to fundraising strategy. She has introduced robust compliance procedures, playing a key role in the institutional response to GDPR, and created a new Alumni Engagement team. Andrea recently led Warwick’s project to implement Blackbaud CRM. She is a member of the CASE Development Services Conference Planning Committee and has presented frequently on alumni and donor CRM at sector conferences and events.

Martyn Clay
Chris Connew
Chris joined QMUL in his new role in late 2023. He leads the operations function and is responsible for overseeing data and insight, gift management, prospect research, reporting, and regular giving.
Through this and his previous roles, Deputy Director of Advancement Operations at Imperial and Head of Planning and Performance at UCL, he has managed a wide range of operations areas, including due diligence, gift processing and accounting, tax-efficient giving, legacy administration, performance management, systems projects, budgeting and financial management data protection, risk, and governance.
Chris has managed projects as varied as the implementation of the annual planning process, CRM implementation, priority project process review, operational process improvement, a revised data and insight strategy, and embedding dynamic fundraiser goals and metrics. Chris has been heavily involved in communities of practice, EDI initiatives, and values and behaviours development.
Chris has over 6 years’ experience in Advancement, previously working in Finance roles for both the public and private sectors.
Sophie Hutchinson
Sophie is responsible for the running of Philanthropy and Global Engagement on a day to day basis at LSE. She has oversight for teams within alumni and supporter engagement and fundraising services, such as gift management, systems, insight and planning. Sophie works closely with colleagues in other professional services divisions to enable the team to work as effectively as possible.
Jennie Moule
Jennie is Founding Partner at fundraising operations consultancy, Alveo Consulting. She built her experience as Director of Development Strategy and Operations at University College London for over 10 years, where she managed fundraising operations overseeing prospect research, database, gift administration, budgeting, HR and facilities. She also led strategy and planning, particularly for their £600m campaign launched in September 2016. Jennie is currently Interim Director of Advancement Services at the University of Cambridge.
A firm believer in sharing experience, driving improvement and giving practical support to those in the sector, Jennie is a sought-after speaker, trainer, mentor and coach. She was Interim Executive Director of CASE Europe from March to July 2017. In that assignment, she fulfilled a lead role in advocacy and thought leadership around GDPR and other fundraising regulation issues, meeting regularly with the ICO, DCMS and the Fundraising Regulator. Jennie was chair of the inaugural CASE Development Services conference in 2008 and remains a member of the planning committee 16 years later.
Stuart Thompson
Stuart Thompson leads the Advancement Services team at Durham University. His portfolio comprises data and information management, data governance and compliance, alumni and stakeholder systems, reporting and analytics, training and user support, prospect research, gift processing, and stewardship.
Stuart has developed many new systems and processes, to improve and expand the Development and Alumni Relations functions at Durham including the development of an Alumni Engagement Pyramid.
Lisa Williams
Lisa Williams has worked in the Development and Alumni Relations team at Exeter for over 17 years. During that time, Lisa has held a variety of roles including regular giving, legacy and major gift fundraising. In 2014 Lisa was appointed to the newly created role of Head of Operations and now oversees the prospect research, data and insight, finance and donor relations functions.
