Severe Weather Travel Flexibility Policy

We sincerely hope you will be able to join us in Seattle as planned. However, for those who are unable to attend due to confirmed, weather-related travel disruptions beyond their control, CASE is offering limited flexibility in the form of a partial registration credit for a future CASE program. Please see details outlined below.

CASE-NAIS Independent Schools Conference Severe Weather Travel Flexibility Policy (Event-specific, one-time exception)

Eligibility

Participants may request a partial registration credit if all of the following apply:

  • Original travel plans are materially disrupted due to severe weather (e.g., flight cancellation or airport closure), and
  • The participant is unable to reasonably rebook travel in time to attend at least one full day of the conference, and
  • The disruption is confirmed by airline or airport notification.

Relief Provided

  • Eligible participants will receive a 50% registration credit toward a future CASE program.
  • Credits are valid for 12 months and may be used by any employee of the same institution.
  • Credits are not redeemable for cash.

What This Policy Does Not Cover

  • Voluntary cancellations based solely on weather forecasts
  • Travel delays that still allow conference attendance
  • Hotel, airfare, or other travel expenses

Request Process

  • Requests must be submitted within 30 calendar days following the conclusion of the conference.
  • Requests should be emailed to [email protected] and include documentation from the airline outlining the travel disruption and including traveler name, departure date, and departure airport.
  • Requests will be reviewed individually, and approved credits will be confirmed via email with a receipt.

Speakers and Faculty

Conference speakers or faculty who are unable to attend due to weather-related travel disruptions should notify Aurora Sherman at [email protected] as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Important Note

This flexibility is a one-time exception in response to extraordinary weather conditions and does not modify CASE’s standard cancellation policy.

Registration Information

Registration is online only. CASE accepts payment by check or credit card for conference registration fees.

All prices shown above are in U.S. Dollars. If your preferred currency is not USD, the fee will display in your preferred currency at the start of the registration process. CASE accepts USD, CAD, AUD, SGD, EU, and GBP.
