Workshop Topic:
Influence Without Authority: Building Trust and Communicating for Impact
In today’s interconnected professional environments, influence depends far more on trust, clarity, and communication skill than on job titles or reporting lines. Whether you work in philanthropy, engagement, external relations or communications, your ability to build strong relationships and move ideas forward is essential.
This interactive 90‑minute workshop explores practical, evidence‑informed strategies for communicating with impact - particularly in situations where you rely on cooperation, collaboration, or goodwill rather than formal authority. Through a quick communication style self‑assessment, participants will explore their own tendencies, identify complementary styles, and learn how to adapt to different personalities and contexts.
We will dive into trust‑building behaviours, the neuroscience of influence, and adaptable communication frameworks that reduce friction and strengthen relationships. Participants will leave with immediately applicable tools to enhance credibility, build rapport, and influence decisions across teams, organizations, and community partnerships.
