Make the CASE to Register
Thank you for your interest in the 2026 CASE Alumni Relations Institute, CASE Europe’s training programme for those newer to alumni relations and higher education at any level and for mid-level professionals.
This Institute provides a solid foundation to further your career and impact your institution. But sometimes it is not up to you to decide if you can register. Aside from financial considerations, professional development training could conflict with your work responsibilities.
The tips and sample justification letter below are intended to help you justify to your supervisor why you should register.
Tips to Help Make the CASE
- Emphasise the specific topics and skills you would like to strengthen or develop. Connect the projects you are working on and the areas you are trying to develop with specific presentations. If you have participated in a CASE educational event before, highlight how the programme benefited your work.
- Highlight that participation in small tutor groups will offer individualised attention and provide a career network for pre- and post-institute support.
- Offer to take detailed notes and prepare and deliver a short presentation for colleagues. That way, others in your organisation will benefit from your participation.
