One of the goals of College of the Holy Cross is to "create and celebrate opportunities for Holy Cross community members to experience and learn in Worcester." A lot of prospective students may have never heard of Worcester, Massachusetts, before--nor been aware of the opportunities to have fun in our city. And there are outdated, negative connotations of Worcester that we hoped to refute. We wanted to show the new restaurants, the addition of the WooSox, and nearby New England experiences to prospective students, with secondary audiences of current students, alumni, and Worcester residents. We decided that a fun and playful way to do this would be to riff off of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," using the nostalgia of a classic movie to show off a few of the many opportunities our students have in our beautiful city.
