Putting the Ag in Swag
From the Nominator
Our entry highlights the development of the Ag Fest–themed Fresno State football jersey, designed to honor the Central Valley’s agricultural heritage. The primary audience included the Central Valley agricultural community and Bulldog fans nationwide. The custom jersey featured agricultural imagery within each player’s jersey number. The illustrations represented the Valley’s fruits, nuts, vegetables, livestock, and agricultural industry. A coordinated “whiteout” fan experience and related merchandise were also developed to extend the concept beyond the field. This whiteout experience strengthened community connection and amplified game-day energy. Through close collaboration with athletics, the design authentically reflected the Central Valley’s agricultural legacy, while aligning with a major game day theme. The uniform debuted during a nationally televised broadcast, providing Fresno State and Central Valley agriculture unprecedented exposure. The launch drove merchandise sales, deepened alumni and fan engagement, and fostered pride among students, athletes, and community members.
