Princeton Prize in Race Relations Website Redesign
From the Nominator
The Princeton Prize in Race Relations (PPRR), a program of Princeton's Office of Advancement, recognizes high school students who have demonstrated leadership in advancing racial equity or promoting racial understanding in their schools and communities. Hundreds of high school students apply each year. The Office of Advancement set out to redesign the PPRR website (https://pprize.princeton.edu/) to better appeal to its main target audience--high school students--while still meeting the needs of parents, alumni, and other visitors to the site. The previous site was more focused on the program's volunteers and had many areas of redundancy. Toggling between voices made the site confusing. The redesign clarified the voice of the site and tightened and strengthened copy and calls-to-action. The new site's much more youthful design was a better match for high school students.
From the Judges
Visually interesting site that made navigation easy and hit the goal of being youthful.
