Peddie Chronicle
From the Nominator
The Peddie Chronicle strengthens alumni engagement by fostering connection between readers and The Peddie School. Our primary audience is alumni, along with parents and friends of the school. Through storytelling that celebrates the past, highlights the present and looks toward the future, the magazine evokes nostalgia while reinforcing Peddie’s ongoing impact. Because alumni magazines compete for attention alongside publications from leading colleges and universities, we prioritize bold, visual storytelling and distinctive covers and features that resonate with a multigenerational audience. The Spring 2025 issue honored retiring Head of School Peter Quinn with a playful, GQ-inspired cover that celebrated his signature bow tie. The cover story reflected on Quinn’s leadership while capturing his personality and legacy. Inside the issue, we invited readers to rediscover the campus through a feature exploring hidden and lesser-known places at Peddie--spaces that reveal the school’s history, culture, and daily life. Another feature revisited student leaders from the Class of 2020, whom we first interviewed in spring 2020 during the COVID-19 shutdown. Five years later, we followed up to explore the milestones they missed and how that extraordinary moment shaped their lives. The Fall/Winter 2025 issue marked a major milestone: a complete magazine redesign created in partnership with Landesberg Design. The issue introduced Peddie’s 17th Head of School, Jim Hamilton, alongside features highlighting the lasting influence of great teachers and the impact of the Peddie Summer Academy, which introduces younger students to Peddie’s academic and campus experience.
From the Judges
What a glow up! The move from one design to another to match the change in leadership was a clever way to set the stage for the coming years. On the whole, the magazine is visually stunning with solid design. Great work!
