Produced for the annual Alumni Awards Gala at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, this video was created to show how a Terry education can transform lives. The goal was to position Terry as a community defined by not only academic excellence but also belonging, mentorship, and values that endure long after graduation. The video profiles alumnus C. Morgan Moore, whose journey from an unstable childhood in foster care to a leadership role at Principal Financial Group reflects the power of support systems. Rather than presenting a traditional success story, the piece centers on relationships—educators, mentors, classmates, and alumni—who shaped Morgan’s path, and how Terry served as the place where those threads came together. We used an intimate, documentary-style approach featuring cinematic visuals, natural sound, and first-person storytelling to create emotional resonance. The narrative was structured to mirror the theme of “investing in others,” without relying on overt institutional messaging. Premiered to an audience of alumni and supporters, the video was well received at the gala event.
