Georgia Ag Impact Report
From the Nominator
Georgia Ag Impact Report is an digital platform developed by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) to empower the state’s No. 1 industry--agriculture--with the research-backed insights. The report draws on data from the UGA Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics and agriculture and natural resources agents serving Georgia’s 159 counties. The report features an interactive dashboard of key industry data, engaging photography, dynamic data visualizations, and accessible content. From planning to distribution, the platform development team identified four key audience groups: policymakers, producers, agricultural educators, and media. We also reviewed dozens of data reports; created a resource brand kit to define the platform’s look and voice; spent weeks building the site; oversaw the inclusion of a robust, interactive dashboard; performed digital accessibility checks; asked experts to conduct a final review before launch; designed advertising; and launched a multi-stage organic and paid promotion campaign to deliver the platform to target audiences. To measure impact, the development team established five-month performance benchmarks across delivery channels. The Georgia Ag Impact Report surpassed every metric in just 88 days.
