CFA Magazine, Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
From the Nominator
Boston University’s College of Fine Arts (CFA) is a dynamic community of artists, performers, and musicians, and its alumni magazine reflects that creative spirit. Each issue highlights the diversity of voices and perspectives within CFA, showcasing how the school prepares graduates for a range of careers and accomplishments. The magazine takes a bold, modern approach to design, using striking typography, vibrant colors, and innovative layouts. Through interviews, insights, portfolio-style showcases, and behind-the-scenes stories—enhanced by creative photography and stylish illustration—the magazine presents CFA as a forward-thinking, stimulating environment for artistic growth. The Fall 2025 issue of CFA Magazine explores the themes of resilience, artistic evolution, and the transitory nature of circumstances, anchored by Dean Harvey Young’s reflection, “This too shall pass.” The publication serves as a reminder of the CFA community's enduring support system. The Spring 2026 Issue of CFA Magazine focuses on the opportunities to reach, educate, and graduate students who, like Professor Raiselis, found their calling after starting college. In addition to its existing BFA degree, CFA designed a second undergraduate degree, a BA in Visual Arts, to meet the needs of transfer students, as well as those interested in double-majoring. This same innovative view is seen in the many features highlighting amazing alumni and the perspectives they bring to society through their work.
