UTD Chamber Singers’ Tour of Poland and Germany Video
From the Nominator
The UT Dallas Chamber Singers embarked on an eight-day concert tour of Poland and Germany, visiting the cities of Krakow, Wroclaw, Dresden, and Berlin. This tour was a historic event for the Bass School and the University of Texas at Dallas, marking only the second time in UT Dallas’s history that a musical ensemble from the university has undertaken an international concert tour. The goal was to showcase to prospective students, current students, and the UT Dallas community the exciting and profound travel experiences the Bass School offers. Bass School Assistant Director of Communications Adrian Tapia produced a video chronicle of the tour. The strategic goal was to shine a light on the transformative nature of the global opportunities available to students at the Bass School. The content was sourced from student- and faculty-generated photos and videos taken on the trip. Students were motivated to go on this trip for many reasons. For some, it was their first time traveling abroad. Others were drawn to this trip to share their love of music with foreign cultures. This video captures the excitement and life-changing opportunities of their adventures.
From the Judges
The interviews that were staged were well done with regard to lighting, angles, background, etc. We give them credit for the product they put together. It was well done. We appreciated that it was more than “they sang overseas.”
