The new California Institute of Technology Pledge Management Dashboard is a strategic tool designed to empower development officers with real-time insights into their donors' pledge commitments. This initiative enhances pledge oversight, ensuring timely follow-ups, improving donor stewardship, and supporting financial accuracy. The primary goal of this dashboard is to streamline pledge tracking and management by providing development officers with a clear view of pledges in good standing, those needing payment reminders, and those requiring potential evaluation for write-off. This proactive approach strengthens donor engagement and maximizes pledge fulfillment. To create this tool, we collaborated with stakeholders to define key metrics and categorizations for pledge statuses. Using data visualization and automation, we integrated pledge data into an intuitive dashboard, ensuring real-time updates and ease of use. The tool offers filters and drill-down capabilities, allowing officers to focus on specific donors or pledge categories. The Caltech Pledge Management Dashboard has improved visibility and efficiency, enabling development officers to take timely action on outstanding pledges. Early intervention on past-due pledges has increased payment compliance, while clear identification of potential write-offs supports more accurate financial forecasting. This tool ultimately enhances donor relationships, reinforcing trust through consistent, informed engagement. By equipping development officers with a data-driven approach to pledge management, this dashboard helps optimize revenue collection and strengthen Caltech’s fundraising efforts.
