The remarkable success of One Ball State Day 2024 stems from imagination that took flight (and geese who got names), six months of planning, unique events (hello life sized ducks in the pool), and the passionate support of our entire community. From leadership's enthusiastic endorsement to individual units proactively organizing meetings, securing matching gifts, and setting up information tables, the collective effort makes this one of our favorite days. While exceeding $1.2 million in a single day is a significant achievement, the true triumph of One Ball State Day lies in the widespread engagement it fosters across campus, the community, and our alumni. Our goal was to unite everyone in a day of support and showing love for Ball State, and the results speak for themselves: record gifts generated by ambassadors, record number of personal matches, five regional events, surpassing $1 million for the third consecutive year, and over 8,500 gifts from global donors. And did we mention the naming of 330 geese?! We've cultivated a dynamic approach to fundraising that energizes the entire Ball State family, inspires philanthropic giving, and educates students about the power of private support. Our university's foundation is built on the spirit of beneficence, a legacy embodied by our beloved "Benny." Philanthropy isn't just something we do at Ball State; it's who we are.
