Like No Other: The Campaign for UNCW Impact Report
From the Nominator
After concluding "Like No Other: The Campaign for UNCW," we segmented donors into three groups for mailed stewardship: alumni donors, consecutive donors, and donors of over $250. Given the age of our institution and donor base, $250 is the entry point for our leadership annual giving society. Donors in this latter category received a mailed copy of the impact report while a digital version was sent to all campaign donors. This campaign impact report aimed to showcase how philanthropy transformed the lives of students, our top priority. We highlighted student stories aligned with our campaign pillars: our coastal location, regional and global impact, family feel, and power of participation. Collaborating with the Office of University Relations, we designed the report to mirror other campaign materials. Bold imagery and first-person narratives illustrated student challenges overcome through philanthropic support. Infographics and callouts enhanced the stories. The 5.5" x 8.5" design differentiated from the UNCW Magazine, and we chose not to use envelopes to avoid confusion with solicitations. Seven-months post campaign conclusion, University of North Carolina Wilmington is realizing its best fiscal fundraising year ever with $22.3 million in gifts and commitments as of January 31, 2025.

An outstanding piece that is beautiful with compelling design and is clear and concise for the reader. This one packs a punch with few words! Additionally, there is a strong photographic approach that is coordinated well with other campaign pieces.
