We create content to highlight many alumni in different ways and at different times. This story was written for publication and sharing on Mother's Day. Of course, we want folks to read it and share it but also see how Lehigh University could connect on this holiday.
From the Judges
This multigenerational story captured the judges’ interest from the beginning with short, snappy sentences and an excellent sense of history. Charting three generations of women and their academic aspirations, this piece demonstrates the impact of a parent’s sacrifice for their child’s dreams—even when they defy social expectations. The production also exhibited excellent use of resources: The story was developed in-house in only five hours and spoke to the interests of the intended alumni audience while also taking into consideration the Mother’s Day publication date.
