"Man on the Street" Student Social Media Series
From the Nominator
Leveraging insights from our student team, we created a list of content themes designed to engage prospective students. Topics like community building, diversity, inclusive resources, and campus life were central to our message. We wanted to showcase California State University, Fullerton as a vibrant campus where everyone can find their place. By asking questions like "Why did you choose CSUF?" we highlighted the unique experiences of our students, giving future Titans real reasons why they should choose our university. We developed a strategy focused on creating content with purpose, diving into a range of topics that would resonate with prospective students. The series was timed around the application period, ensuring relevance. Our production process was ongoing, with weekly updates and constant exploration of new, creative ways to showcase the CSUF student experience. This approach kept the content fresh and engaging, allowing us to connect with our audience in meaningful ways. This work generated positive sentiment around the college student journey, leading to higher than average social media engagement. We successfully promoted the videos across digital displays and websites, amplifying their reach. As engagement grew, we collaborated with campus partners, like orientation, to connect with students experiencing their firsts at CSUF, further strengthening our message and outreach.
