Look to Michigan Case Statement
From the Nominator
The University of Michigan recently launched its most innovative and ambitious fundraising campaign, Look to Michigan, seeking private philanthropy to help solve the world’s most urgent challenges. Our goal was to create a case statement that captures the unique nature of this campaign, with its focus on collaborative, cross-disciplinary priorities highlighting U-M’s unique and singular strengths. Using visually striking design, bold photography, and energetic, inspirational language, we created content that resonates with our main audience, donors at the principal gift levels, and reflects the vision, breadth, and depth of excellence across the university. We conveyed our desire to partner with these philanthropic leaders to drive meaningful change and ultimately to inspire their transformational engagement with the campaign. This vibrant presentation of the Look to Michigan campaign’s priorities and U-M’s core commitments highlights the transformative opportunities to drive lasting impact and further the university’s mission to serve the public good.

A visually impactful piece with a more editorial approach that is a nice departure from traditional fundraising language. The use of bold icons for each priority and production of the piece is memorable. Additionally, the writing and overall design was excellent.
