The 30-second video was created as our nationally broadcast television commercial. We titled the video “Push for Excellence,” which is a theme carried throughout the spot. We emphasize this by showing kinetic visuals and motivational sound bites, showcasing students moving forward toward a goal or outcome. We also want the viewer to feel close to the action. A drummer bookends the video with diegetic sound that makes the audience feel like they are there in person. The fast-paced, high-energy commercial shows that Kansas State University is a path that can help you get anywhere.
From the Judges
The judging panel enjoyed the drumming throughout and the use of natural sounds. Additionally, the panel agreed that this commercial was a fun advertisement that was executed well and keeps the viewers attention throughout.
