Humans in Public Health Podcast
From the Nominator
Public health shapes all our lives, but who comes up with the guidance we hear and how do they come up with it? Humans in Public Health is a podcast from the Brown University School of Public Health that introduces the people behind public health research, allowing us to expose their work to a wide audience. In an accessible and conversational way, our guests discuss their research and findings and the importance of their work. They also share how they came to their particular corner of public health, pulling back the scientific curtain with relatable stories and advice. Humans in Public Health was developed to showcase the work of more than 200 faculty members and 300 graduate students at our school, all of whom are working on interesting and important projects. That's why we make all of our podcast episodes available, at no cost, to local radio stations across America via PRX. We now have 18 stations that regularly license our episodes: Listeners hear our podcast everywhere from Alaska to West Virginia. Edited to a standardized length of approximately 15 minutes, our episodes fit neatly into local radio segment spots.
