Envision Magazine
From the Nominator
Envision is the only regularly delivered communications vehicle at the University of Virginia dedicated to highlighting the entire landscape of the university’s fundraising initiatives and priorities. The magazine cultivates, recognizes, and stewards donors to the Honor the Future Campaign for the University of Virginia. Mailed to top donors to the campaign, it is also widely used by fundraisers to start conversations, build relationships, and demonstrate the variety of philanthropic opportunities at UVA. It has a digital presence on the UVA giving site, giving.virginia.edu. No university-wide case statement was produced for the campaign. Instead, we have relied on Envision Magazine and the president's strategic plan to carry the weight. Envision is usually produced twice a year to deliver news and messages about the progress of the campaign but only one issue was produced in calendar year 2024. It delivers news and messages about the progress of the campaign while focusing on the impact of campaign gifts and sharing the good news about the results and benefits of private support. The Honor the Future Campaign reached its $5 billion goal a full 18 months ahead of schedule. Envision has been instrumental in this achievement and continuing the momentum of the campaign after it passed this milestone.
