Smith College School for Social Work creates a New Year card each year to send to alumni. The card is printed and hand signed for VIP alumni and top donors and a digital version is created for the larger population. Sent annually in early January, the card serves as a sweet and personal way to mark the new year. This year's card was created with a local illustrator and graphic designer. It was inspired by a quote from our 2024 commencement celebration and was designed to take the reader on a journey. As you open the card, each panel reveals a bit more and the illustrations move from darkness to illumination. Translating the printed card to digital offered an opportunity to support the words with music and animation.

A beautiful card that taps into emotions. Unique fold style. The limited foil use adds a subtle element to elevate it. We love that it was inspired by a quote from a commencement celebration and designed to take the reader on a journey through the dark-to-light theme, with the recipient being that light at the end.
