From the Nominator

To advance The Chang School’s mission to contribute to a socially progressive innovation economy, we launched The Pivot Point Speaker Series, a free online speaker series that explores trending topics in the worlds of work and continuous learning. The series features notable industry-leading thought leaders who share their expertise and tie it to career-focused topics that reflect the needs of our learners. Most courses offered at The Chang School are online, which means our learners don’t have a direct connection to a physical campus and in-person community. This event series helped solve the problem of giving our learners a sense of community with The Chang School. Current learners, prospective learners, and alumni are invited to these events as a value-add opportunity for being part of our community. Building a community helps increase brand loyalty and encourages enrollment and retention. Another problem we were trying to solve was decreased use of the website's "Request for Information." These events were able to increase opt-ins to our lead nurturing drip campaigns—813 more opt-ins in 2024 alone. The Pivot Point Speaker Series has allowed The Chang School to expand its reach beyond Toronto—not only to cities like Vancouver, Calgary, and Halifax, but also countries like India, Italy, Peru, the U.S., Uganda, and more. In 2024, we had 2,192 RSVPs and 326 video views. These events further The Chang School’s ability to encourage engagement, build long-term relationships with our learners, and achieve loyalty—ultimately leading to high levels of satisfaction, reengagement, and growth.

From the Judges

They stretched their budget to accommodate some incredible speakers. Very strategic with posting and amplification, along with the 360 sharing contract. They leveraged the speakers' reach very well. The topics were diverse but seemed to align with the very wide audience outlined.
