The strategic goal was to increase giving by creating excitement and urgency around alumni involvement. In the third video of a five-video series, we presented a "Breaking News" update shared via social media, highlighting the growing number of Big Foot sightings and the impact of alumni donations on the Webb Fund. The video announced that a trustee would donate an additional $35,000 if 35 more Big Foot sightings were reported, emphasizing the importance of alumni contributions. The video featured four members of the alumni and development team delivering this exciting news, further personalizing the appeal. The script mixed humor, urgency, and school traditions to engage viewers and drive action. The aim was to create a fun and quick way to remind alumni of the importance of their support while generating excitement around a time-sensitive opportunity. By leveraging humor and a playful storyline, we encouraged alumni to participate and contributed to the success of The Big Foot 100. The video generated strong engagement leading to a surge in alumni giving to help us achieve the challenge. The matching gift offer drove urgency and helped increase participation, reengaging alumni and reinforcing the message that every gift makes a difference. This video was a key component in the campaign’s success, helping build momentum for continued alumni involvement.
