"Join almost any campus tour, and you’ll overhear it almost immediately, students and parents expressing wonder and enthusiasm mixed with their anxiety and uncertainty. For most people, college can be both exciting and daunting, especially for new or incoming students who are undecided or unsure about their future. So, for those who feel lost, need advice, or are questioning where to even begin, “Major Insight” is a podcast about successfully exploring and navigating all aspects of college life. 

Each episode features a dedicated student host who leads open and honest conversations with accomplished college students who share real stories about choosing majors, getting involved, making friends, finding mentorship, overcoming fears, and more. 

The podcast is about demystifying an experience that can feel overwhelming. However, the episodes also help listeners make more informed personal decisions by showcasing the diverse range of options and opportunities college can offer while simultaneously bringing majors to life in dynamic ways that no informational viewbook, pamphlet, or website ever could. 

Episodes are professionally recorded, produced, and posted bi-monthly during the fall and spring semesters. Special bonus episodes also bridge the summer months between academic years. 

The podcast has led to numerous strategic cross-campus collaborations with admissions, enrollment, honors college, Office of the Provost, social media teams, public relations, media and communications classes, and more. It also serves as a unique faculty and student recognition tool and provides an interesting listening experience to anyone interested in contemporary college life."
