"Founded in 2016, Stetson University’s Green, White & YOU Student Philanthropy and Alumni Association is designed to teach the importance of staying connected to the university and educating students on how they can give back. The organization is comprised of thirty-three fun, dedicated, philanthropic-spirited students who love Stetson. They work together to educate and engage their fellow students through activities and over 20 yearly events, highlighting Stetson as a philanthropic cause worthy of investing their time, talent, treasure, and ties. Green, White & YOU shows Stetson students that their amazing and unique experiences are largely thanks to the dedication and support of parents, friends, donors, and alumni.
Since the founding of the organization in 2016 and inheriting the Senior Class Gift (SCG) campaign, we have raised $3,979, which is just under 50 percent of the SCG funds raised in the last twenty years. We have also seen the affinity created in alumni the organization touched through alumni giving. On campus, we have events to reach all 2,572 undergraduates in some capacity and provide students with opportunities to engage in philanthropy."
