"When we implemented Raiser's Edge NXT in 2019, we had to reimagine how we reported our key metrics both internally and externally. Though RENXT has the ability to create insights and dashboards to help keep us on target to meet our goals, we have our own unique and custom metrics that we also wanted to track and report out. It became clear early on that RENXT wasn't going to be able to provide us with the insights we needed in these areas. Examples include accounting for soft credits (for donor recognition/lifetime giving), tracking GOLD (graduates of the last decade) participation, major giving analytics, giving society progress, and more nuanced data on acquisition, retention and recapture metrics.  

Thanks to the Microsoft Power Platform and Blackbaud's SKY API, we can now develop ways to report on our data that incorporate our specific needs into dashboards that our key stakeholders can access at any time. Because we can create robust calculated fields, we can define metrics in a much more powerful fashion in Power BI than we can in RENXT. Plus, it's automated!  

The results are impressive. For example, we can now see our current fundraising totals compared to the same time last year, as well as the running three-year average at a glance. In addition, we're now able to see our revenue, donor counts, and alumni participation against goals for the current year as compared to the most previous year. Further refinements are possible via filters on the pages as well."

Excellent method for ensuring correctness by comparing results with NXT and, when that wasn't possible, downloading results to Excel and computing them that way. Display provides simple statistics. AMAZING analysis of the giving band! Also the fun phone access! We love the Siri application, and phone access is wonderful. The offered solutions are well-thought out and will benefit other organizations; numerous significant data-driven judgments are underlined in the screen pictures. Stunning dashboard. It possesses all of the necessary components to quickly become the Viz of the Day.
