"Nanyang Technological University's University Advancement Office organized its first Giving Day on March 23, 2022, as part of the We Belong anchor event, marking the university's 30th anniversary. Over 4,000 donors and volunteers surpassed the $1 million goal by 10%, resulting in a 31-fold return on investment. Giving Day's four major areas of focus included the NTU Bursary Fund, NTU Priorities Fund, School Advancement Funds, and the NTU Sustainability Fund.
The entire OneNTU community of students, alumni, staff, and friends of NTU came together to celebrate the spirit of giving and make a meaningful impact on future generations of students. The Giving Day launch video served as a commemorative feature of the event, inspiring viewers to support critical causes and participate in Giving Day challenges. Every gift, big or small, made during NTU Giving Day will have a significant impact through the various funds. The success of Giving Day showcases NTU's commitment to philanthropy and the power of community in making a difference. It generated positive energy and a sense of shared purpose among the NTU family, inspiring everyone to contribute towards critical university needs and improve lives. Giving Day was not just a one-time event but a collective effort to build a better future for all."
