"The Tufts University School of Engineering FY21 donor report is on the forefront of donor report communications, as it is solely online: https://pages.communications.tufts.edu/Engineering-Donor-Report-2021. We've been able to pivot away from print to an interactive, multimedia approach that allows for the inclusion of many different content models--including video, searchable donor listings, and podcasts--that just wouldn't be as easily included in a print model.
We did this to not only expand our reach of engaging content for our donors, but also to take a green and technologically-savvy approach as an engineering school. (Computer science, as a note, is currently the #1 major at Tufts.) We saw great results, with an amazing 47% open rate for our November 2021 email distributing the report and wide viewing of content (along with anecdotal praise from donors)."

This entry is definitely one that stands out for the creative, in-house effort that employs multimedia with handy navigation. The content is displayed in a novel and interactive way that encourages engagement. Compelling student videos and the interactive donor list are remarkable features. The execution includes elegant design and great photography. The style leverages work done throughout the year for the web and social media channels and represents an innovative approach and great storytelling.
