"With this piece, we wanted to give alumni readers a real sense of how the pandemic impacted the student experience, using the work of a student who was also a gifted illustrator, Jo Tan. Originally conceived by Associate Editor Julia Hanna as a print piece, continued budget concerns pushed back a proposed return to print, and this piece had to be redesigned as an online-only experience.   

The piece got a positive response both internally and externally. Also important, it helped our team continue to stretch in our multimedia efforts."
